Building reliable distributed systems — and researching what makes AI-driven ones trustworthy at scale.
10+ years designing and operating enterprise and telecom systems inform my PhD research in AI-cloud architecture, retrieval-augmented generation, and distributed-systems security — the same class of problems I met first in production.

PHD RESEARCH
Research
In May 2026, I began a PhD in Information Technology at University of the Cumberlands. My research is still taking shape, centered on how AI-driven, cloud-native systems stay reliable, well-architected, and secure at scale — questions I first encountered in production, not in a classroom. It connects directly to my engineering background: RAG reliability traces back to AI-assisted development work, AI-cloud architecture to cloud migration and microservices work, and distributed-systems security to operating distributed telecom and financial-services systems.

ABOUT
Who I am
I'm a software engineer based in Dallas, TX, with 10+ years of experience across telecommunications infrastructure, network software, and enterprise cloud and financial-services systems. I've spent my career building and operating large-scale distributed platforms — the kind of systems that stay up under load, move data safely between organizations, and evolve without breaking.
In May 2026, I began a PhD in Information Technology at University of the Cumberlands. My research is still taking shape, centered on questions I first encountered in production, not in a classroom.
I hold an MS in Computer Science from Maharishi International University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Arba Minch University. I'm a Senior Member of IEEE, and I speak Amharic and English.
